To be able under all circumstances to practice five things constitutes perfect virtue; these five things are gravity, generosity of soul, sincerity, earnestness and kindness.
When anger rises, think of the consequences.
Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart.
He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn towards it.
He with whom neither slander that gradually soaks into the mind, nor statements that startle like a wound in the flesh, are successful may be called intelligent indeed.
If a man withdraws his mind from the love of beauty, and applies it as sincerely to the love of the virtuous; if, in serving his parents, he can exert his utmost strength; if, in serving his prince, he can devote his life; if in his intercourse with his friends, his words are sincere - although men say that he has not learned, I will certainly say that he has.
They must often change who would be constant in happiness or wisdom.
What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others.
When you know a thing, to hold that you know it; and when you do not know a thing, to allow that you do not know it - this is knowledge.
[The superior man] acts before he speaks, and afterwards speaks according to his actions.

Forget about us.....
I found this on a site.....contributed by jspencer1987
I've told you how I felt today and now there is nothing I can do,
Because you know everything but I don't know anything about you,
Just that I love the way you look and I love the way you move,
I love the was you smell and the way you felt, gentle and smooth,
Sometimes I wish I could forget about you,
The way you make me feel and dream about you,
And that's all I do dream, dream of the day when me and you can be together,
And we can fly like a feather,
A feather in the wind dancing,
Freely moving in all directions,
But we won't be because the only effect I have on you is an affection.
A disease that won't go away.
So maybe I will give you the vaccine so i can do what have wanted for so long and leave and never come back Would you like that?
No more of me?
Would you care?
Would you notice?
You say that you would but some times I feel like don't want me around
You treat people you don't like better than me so what does that make me?
Scum just dirt on the bottom of your shoes that you can simply scrape off and forget about?
In that case maybe you should just scrap me off and forget about me I am nothing but dirt to you anyways.
So cast me aside and forget about me.... forget about us

Once you fooled me - Shame on you.....twice you fooled me - Shame on me....
Hi...this ones written by me with stacey....staces in bold....comments welcome
Memories condescending....
Why do you bother with your pretending
Strip the mask off....kill the dream...
I gave you a chance to redeem
I put my trust in you....
All my hard work you did undo
I scream so loud, my ears go deaf...
And not a single rational thought is left.
Its an uphill stuggle...blood sweat and tears...
You have become everything that embodies my fears
It was easier to say hello than to say goodbye...
Why did you come back and make me wish to die?
Its you that i blame in this deal...
My wounds and torture i can no longer conceal
Once you fooled me - Shame on you.....twice you fooled me - Shame on me....
how did you manage to lead me so blindly
I gave you the knife and you obliged kindly...
Every word you uttered was a stab in my vulnerable heart
To meet was my wish but you always wanted to part..
Separate paths were taken, yet still you cause untold hurt.
I treated you with dignity yet you treated me like dirt...
So with all the hate in my heart I bid thee adieu..
Never will I trust you and never should you...

Loneliness
A voice cries for a helping hand…
Loneliness can put things in perspective.
Loneliness can drive you insane.
Loneliness can pit you against the entire synergism of your pea sized brain.
That no on ever gives…
Loneliness can be as intimate,
As no companion can ever be.
Loneliness can be an obvious blank,
A void that you can never see.
A passage to a locked up house…
Loneliness can etch into the soul,
A deep gash that can never heal.
A beautiful sorrow, that’s tangible,
With a tasteable, smellable feel.
Where no one ever lives…
Loneliness is that possibility, you will always have to face,
Loneliness is three dimensional, a reality with an edge on space.
A heart beats in a vacuum
Loneliness can pause the time, and make it all the more lethargic.
It crawls along while in its web, ensnared you hear the seconds tick.
Can you hear the strain?
Loneliness is like a sleeping pill, an overdose can make you sick.
It’s a killer drug that you can induce, a psychedelic hallucinative kick.
A sigh dies in the stillness…
Loneliness is a paradox –
It could be your messiah,
Your magic maker.
Or it could function in the capacity of a relationship speed breaker.
Can you feel the pain?
Loneliness can put things in perspective.
Loneliness can drive you insane.
Loneliness can pit you against the entire synergism of your pea sized brain.
That no on ever gives…

Walking Alone, I am..
when u find ur not the only one loving her....and ur not sure she loves you....
Walking alone, I am..
Clasping those few moments together in my hands,
Trying not to let them escape, but they do so ...like silver sands.
I have walked a thousand miles to this day...
Looking at time....
Time that stood still... while you moved further away...
I trundled along...
Through sandy deserts and stormy seas....
Thirsting for those words that bring me peace...
But you remained this beautiul Illusion.
I hurriedly looked around to catch your eye,
but you got lost in all the confusion...
But it wasnt you who was lost
You always were shining like a beacon
never once did I realise...
Lost was I - one in a million fireflies...
Walking alone, I am..
Clasping those few moments together in my hands,
Trying not to let them escape, but they do so ...like silver sands.

Deep thoughts.....
If you get invited to your first orgy, don't just show up nude. That's a common mistake. You have to let nudity "happen."
"If you're killed, you've lost a very important part of your life."
-Brooke Shields
"We apologize for the error in last week's paper in which we stated that Mr. Arnold Dogbody was a defective in the police force. We meant, of course, that Mr. Dogbody is a detective in the police farce."-Correction notice in the Ely Standard, a British newspaper
"Caution: Cape does not enable user to fly."-Batman costume warning label
"I have opinions of my own --strong opinions-- but I don't always agree with them." -George Bush
It's time for the human race to enter the solar system!-- Dan Quayle, on the concept of a manned mission to Mars "The Stupidist Things Ever Said By Politicians" - by Ross and Kathryn Petras
Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling
Margoret Lee Runbeck
Statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is suggestive but what they conceal is vital
Aaron Levenstein
Mark Twain's answer to a would-be writer: "Young Author"- Yes, Agassiz does recommend authors to eat fish, because the phosphorus in it makes brain. So far you are correct. But I cannot help you to a decision about the amount you need to eat- at least not with certainty. If the specimen composition you send is about your fair usual averge, I suggest that perhaps a couple of whales would be all you would want for the present. Not the largest kind, but simply good middling-sized whales.-Mark Twain "Answers to Correspondents", Sketches New and Old
Man is a Religious Animal. He is the only Religious Animal. He is the only animal that has the True Religion -- several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat if his theology isn't straight. He has made a graveyard of the globe in trying his honest best to smooth his brother's path to happiness and heaven....The higher animals have no religion. And we are told that they are going to be left out in the Hereafter. I wonder why? It seems questionable taste.- Mark Twain The Lowest Animal essay, 1897
We despise all reverences and all the objects of reverence which are outside the pale of our own list of sacred things. And yet, with strange inconsistency, we are shocked when other people despise and defile the things which are holy to us.- Mark Twain.Following the Equator

I just cudnt resist putting these amazing quotes derived from confucius
Confucious Say
Man who keep feet firmly on ground have trouble putting on pants!
He who throw dirt is losing ground.
Man who jump off cliff jump to conclusion!
Man with one chopstick go hungry.
He who buries a man's wife alive, should not expect to sit at that man's dinner table without the subject coming up.
Even the greatest of whales is helpless in desert.
Support bacteria--it's the only culture some people have.
Man who tell one too many light bulb jokes soon burn out.
Man who drive like hell, bound to get there.

Man who tell one too many light bulb jokes soon burn out.
Man who drive like hell, bound to get there.
A poem about remembering a lost relationship and hope for the future
The future is always ahead of us
that path getting closer with every move we make
Littered with the chances
and oppurtunities we must take
I'll look back from time to time
and the trail we covered with broken branches
I'll brush aside autumn leaves to uncover
footprints where we broke and ran once
And if I look back just far enough
I might see your reasons
Imprinted by our running toes
and weathered by four seasons
But for now I'll keep walking on
trying not to look behind me
And i hope that when I turn my head
I'll find you right beside me
that path getting closer with every move we make
Littered with the chances
and oppurtunities we must take
I'll look back from time to time
and the trail we covered with broken branches
I'll brush aside autumn leaves to uncover
footprints where we broke and ran once
And if I look back just far enough
I might see your reasons
Imprinted by our running toes
and weathered by four seasons
But for now I'll keep walking on
trying not to look behind me
And i hope that when I turn my head
I'll find you right beside me

Notes to Myself
Either I will find a way, or make one.
Challenge is a part of Life - take it in stride knowing that you will win most of the times, Lose some of the time, but become a better man either way for having tried.
Being honest is like being pregnant; theres no such thing as a little bit; Either you are or you are not.
If I had 8 hours to chop a tree, I would spend 6 hours sharpening my axe.

Lost
menacing in its passive manner...
I wander aimlessly,
yet am full of purpose.
The landscape is boundless,
yet i can barely see the next step i am about to take.
occasionaly i come acros something familiar
a rock or a tree,
sometimes a face,
but always it is swallowd by the mist
A pale ball of white hot flame burns with the blinding light of relisation,
but is veiled by thick dark clouds of dependance.
i wander aimlessly
yet am full of purpose.
lost in the past,
blind to the present,
looking for the future.

Survival
Never knowing what may be your fate.
A shadow is always lurking beneath the sun,
And you never know when your time might come.
Helplessly you stand alone,
Unsparing and unveiling yourself
Relentlessly to the tortures of agony
Trying to be as strong as the moon
When the night is black and silent.
A shadow is always lurking beneath the sun,
And you never know when your time might come.
Helplessly you stand alone,
Unsparing and unveiling yourself
Relentlessly to the tortures of agony
Trying to be as strong as the moon
When the night is black and silent.

Mark Twain
Well......to begin with something there must be some inspiration....so lets start off Anu Mallik Ishtyle!.....My favourite literary personalities include....oscar wilde...churchill...dave barry and of course not to forget the indomitable Mark Twain...here he is at his funny and satirical best....
Last week I stated that this woman was the ugliest woman I had ever seen. I have since been visited by her sister and now wish to withdraw that statement.
Buy land. They've stopped making it.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
You can tell German wine from vinegar by the label.
Man - a figment of God's imagination.
It is full of interest. It has noble poetry in it; and some clever fables; and some blood-drenched history; and some good morals; and a wealth of obscenity; and upwards of a thousand lies. -- Commenting on the Bible.
Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.
The report of my death was an exaggeration. -- (New York Journal, June 1897)
A classic is something that everybody wants to have read and nobody wants to read.
Once you've put one of his books down, you simply can't pick it up again. -- (talking about Henry James)
The best way to cheer yourself is to cheer somebody else up.
Its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog.
A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining and wants it back the minute it begins to rain.
Golf is a good walk spoiled.
It's still good sportsmanship to not pick up lost balls while they are still rolling.
Every generalization is dangerous, especially this one.
Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been.
Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained.
Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.
The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.
A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is just putting on its shoes.
In the first place God made idiots; that was for practice; then he made school boards.
